FURWOODD to hire 100 more workers by August 2021
Ghanaian-Based Online Furniture manufacturer and distributor FURWOODD plans to hire 100 more employees for various production department in Agona Swedru, by the end of the second quarter of this year 2021.
FURWOODD is Africa’s Largest Online Furniture Store, with a super-sized products online and call center operations to support e-commerce functions. The online store is said to take care of  all customer demands in the second quarter of 2021.
“The FURWOODD vision is to create a MORE relaxing environment which everyone can afford. Creating meaningful, stable jobs and great workplaces is just one way that we fulfil this vision—more important than ever during these challenging times,” said FURWOODD Co-founder, Paul Cyrus.
With press release earlier this month, Monday Jan 11, 2021, Steve Dadzie, highlighted the major cause of delays with all customer order which stated clearly that demands as unexpected happened in the festive season.
Steve said the company was looking to fill a wide range of vacancies, including Professional wood works, Product design manager, quality control officer, Assembly department, sales associates, recovery associates, Digital marketers and customer service associates . It is opening posts for only full-time employees.
New hires will join a team already working for FURWOODD at these various positions. As part of the recruitment drive, FURWOODD will bring home 20 overseas Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa. The company will continue filling local positions until June 2021.
Furwoodd co-founder and head of IT department said the FURWOODD culture and values made it different from other companies where co-workers at all levels are encouraged to lead, ask questions, share ideas and drive the business.
The CEO in earlier posts said, the company will start exporting some of its products abroad starting this year, 2021.
“Part-timers who are seeking to enjoy some extra income are however asked to submit their resume and are treated like full-time members of the family, with all the same benefits as full-timers on a prorated basis—including health check, annual leave, subsidized meals and FURWOODD discounts,” he said.
There are endless possibilities to grow and develop as co-workers take charge of their own learning journey and move across functions, Steve has said.
